The Valentine Foundation was established in March 2010 by Mrs. Rebecca Valentine, whose lifelong passion was to create lasting opportunities for the next generation. Though she never had the chance to pursue a formal college education herself, Mrs. Valentine possessed a remarkable instinct for business and a deep commitment to giving back. She dedicated her life to growing her California estate with the express purpose of helping others.
Mrs. Valentine believed in the transformative power of education—especially in the fields of science, medicine, engineering, and mathematics—and understood that many bright, motivated young people lacked the financial resources to pursue these paths. Through the foundation, her vision lives on by providing scholarships to deserving students who share her curiosity, determination, and hope for a better future.
Beyond education, Mrs. Valentine had a heart for youth development and community service. She supported organizations like the YMCA, where young people find mentorship, purpose, and belonging.
Today, her legacy continues through every student who earns a degree, every family strengthened by opportunity, and every young life uplifted by programs inspired by her values. The Becky Valentine Foundation exists to carry forward her mission: to educate, to empower, and to build a better world for generations to come.
Goal One:
Create Educational Opportunity
The Valentine Foundation is committed to opening doors for the next generation. Our first and guiding goal is to create educational opportunity, especially in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, for students who have the passion to succeed but not the means to pursue higher education.
We achieve this not only through direct scholarships for deserving young adults, but also by funding innovative programs at esteemed colleges and universities across the country. These investments expand access, enrich learning environments, and ensure that more students from all backgrounds have the tools, mentorship, and support they need to thrive.
By empowering individual students and strengthening institutions of learning, we are building a brighter, more inclusive future; one opportunity at a time.

Preservation and Conservancy
The Valentine Foundation is deeply committed to protecting the planet we share. Our second core goal is to support environmental and wildlife preservation and conservancy efforts that safeguard fragile ecosystems and ensure a sustainable future for generations to come.
Inspired by Mrs. Valentine’s lifelong love for nature and wildlife, we fund initiatives that promote conservation science, restore habitats, protect endangered species, and educate communities on the importance of environmental stewardship. From coastal ecosystems to forest preserves, our support helps empower organizations and researchers working on the front lines of environmental protection.
